Minto turned pro in 2002 and won his first 18 bouts, albeit against marginal competition, to set up a 2004 bout with former champion Tony Tubbs. The inactive Tubbs won in a mild upset, stalling Minto's progress. Minto is regularly featured on ESPN fight cards, and is probably best known for his two exciting TKO's over fellow ESPN house fighter Vincent Maddalone.
