History On July 12, 2006, a press release[1] was issued with the announcement of a single championship game to determine an overall league champion of Triple-A's International League and Pacific Coast League. It was planned to take place at Oklahoma City’s AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, hence the name Bricktown Showdown; it would also be broadcast on ESPN2.
