The station is located at the northern end of the South Road level crossing.
Facilities The station consists of three platforms, two in an island format and two on a sharp curve. The island platform (platform 1&2) contains a large brick building, while platform 3 has a small brick building. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platforms 1&2, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 3. Sidings are adjacent to the station, which are currently in use for train modifications. A footbridge is located at the UP end of the station, whilst a signal box is located at the DOWN end of the station.
