Its first factory in Kidderminster was established in 1820 and as of 2006 the company still has a major manufacturing presence on the Stourport edge of the town, although it retains an administrative presence in the centre. In 1970 Brintons opened their first factory in Telford, Shropshire. It owns and operates other factories all over the world including Australia, Portugal and India. Due to financial difficulties within the Brintons group as a whole in mid 2000, the New Zealand factory was sold in an effort to keep other factories open.
