Mirror.co.uk - TV & Film - Soapbox - All soaps - THE BRITISH SOAP AWARDS 2005 (217 words)
BEING one of the judges for the British Soap Awards was like presiding over a year of controversial trials at the Old Bailey.
While six are voted for by viewers and two (Lifetime and Special Achievement awards) by the organisers, the other 10 have been voted for by the panel of judges, myself included, in a secret ballot.
Believe me, with this amount of phenomenally entertaining soap, it was no easy task to decide exactly who was the bitchiest, funniest and most dramatic in the last year.
