Brixton tube station

Brixton Tube station is a station in the London Underground. Located at the southern end of the Victoria Line, was opened on July 23, 1971. It is located on Brixton High Street, and is about a three minute walk from Brixton railway station (on the London Victoria to Orpington line, operated by South Eastern). From the ticket hall, three escalators take passengers to and from the platforms. The tracks stop just after the platform ends, so trains travel both Southbound into, and Northbound from, the platforms - i.e. trains can arrive and leave at either platform. There is a scissors crossing just north of the platforms, so trains can swap tracks if they are on the wrong track (i.e. "driving on the right"). Brixton tube station, taken by C ford March 04. ...
