The Bronfman family, one of the most influential Jewish families in the world, was made famous by Samuel Bronfman (1891-1971), who made a fortune in the distilled alcoholic beverages business during the 20th century through his Seagram Company. The family is of Canadian heritage and most members of the family are Canadian citizens. The word Jew ( Hebrew: יהודי) is used in a wide number of ways, but generally refers to a follower of the Jewish faith, a child of a Jewish mother, or someone of Jewish descent with a connection to Jewish culture or ethnicity and often a combination of these attributes. ...
