Brookwood Railway Station was constructed to serve the adjacent cemetery and was at one stage served by it's own station at London for the funeral trains. A branch line left from the main line station to serve two stations within the cemetery, Brookwood Cemetery North and Brookwood Cemetery South. The branch line (and stations) have now closed, but the mainline station remains and is now a popular commuter station on the line between Woking and Basingstoke. The exit to the cemetery remains.
