Brovst is a municipality in northern Denmark, in the county of North Jutland on the peninsula of Jutland. The municipality covers an area of 223 km², and has a total population of 8,475.

Because Brovst municipality is located on the north shore of the Limfjord, the waterway that separates the main body of the Jutland peninsula from the island of Vendsyssel-Thy, its southern municipal neighbor Nibe, which is located on the Jutland mainland, is separated from Nibe by water.
