Other Store Info

The stores tend to a wide audience, vending both wearable and "standard" clothes and also very expensive, "haute couture" garments, many of which are to be found in the basement. The downstairs of the Dublin branch contains "Browns Bar", a cafe, and a barber shop. The Limerick Branch also contains a Browns Café upstairs and a Browns Bar downstairs.

Also connected to the Dublin Branch is Aya Sushi Bar, on Clarendon Street. This is Dublin's finest conveyor sushi bar, and a stop here provides excellent respite from serious shopping.

Brown Thomas also operates the BT2 stores, located in Grafton Street, Blanchardstown Shopping Centre and Dundrum Town Centre. These stores have more mass market clothes aimed at younger buyers. Like it's sister shop, it also sells a wide range of cosmetics. Recently opened on the first floor of BT2 on Grafton Street is Starbucks Cafe.

Brown Thomas also operates a popular Wedding List department and a Vera Wang Bridal Salon. Vera Wang (Chinese: ; pinyin: Wáng Wēiwei; born June 27, 1949) is a fashion designer based in New York, NY, USA. She is known for her wedding gown collection among other specialties. ...

    Sir Thomas Browne (2019 words)
Browne is one of the best early examples of this school; his style, to quote Johnson himself, "is vigorous but rugged, it is learned but pedantick, it is deep but obscure, it strikes but does not please, it commands but does not allure.
Sir Thomas Browne was born in London, in the parish of St Michael le Quern, on the 19th of October 1605.
For the account of the finding of Sir Thomas Browne's skull I am indebted to Mr Friswell's notice of Sir Thomas in his "Varia." The text of the "Hydriotaphia" is taken from the folio edition of 1686, in the Lincoln's Inn library.
