Apron Strings Broxbourne boasts one famous resident, Matthew Wright who appeared on a BBC4 documentary in 2005 called "Apron Strings". The "fly-on-the-wall documentary shadowed Matt for a year and analysed his lifestyle. The title of the documentary - untitled when filming begin - stemmed from Matt's increasingly obvious domestic reliance on his Mother and to a lesser extent his sister. His mother was filmed over the months pandering to Matt's every whim, from ironing his shirts to giving him pocket money to buy neswpapers.
