Broxtowe is a local government district with borough status in Nottinghamshire, England, west of the city of Nottingham.


It was formed on April 1, 1974 by merging the Beeston and Stapleford urban district, the Eastwood urban district and part of Basford Rural District. It has a reputation for being a rough, unpleasant area to live in.
