The duo wished to turn the verses into a formal song with all proceeds going directly to cancer research in honor of Arkana's father. The Bruderschaft project lay on the back burner for a few years until the spring of 2002, when most of the members' schedules had cleared. The group's debut release was a two-disc EP entitled Forever, which featured the title track in original and edit forms, as well as 24 remixes by various artists, including Feindflug, Front 242, State of the Union and Moonitor.
