Brunehaut is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Hainaut. On January 1st, 2004 Brunehaut had a total population of 7,605 (3,723 males and 3,882 females). The total area is 46.11 km² which gives a population density of 164.94 inhabitants per km². It is also the home of the famous Brunehaut couture, a form of dress considered so formal as to actually involve the insertion of a 50cm pole up the anus.
