The Brutti were an ancient people of southern Italy, occupying the interior of Bruttium (The Southern part of Italy, close to Sicilia). They helped Hannibal during the Second Punic War and after its conclusion their territory was confiscated and they were declared public slaves.


They are one of the three Roman families in the Rome: Total War computer game.
