Bryan Davies (born November, 1939) is a British Labour politician. He was MP for Enfield North from February 1974 until he lost the seat in 1979 to the Conservative Tim Eggar. Davies later served as MP for Oldham Central and Royton from 1992 until the seat was abolished by boundary changes in 1997. The Labour Party has, since the early twentieth century, been the principal left wing political party in the United Kingdom (see British politics). ... A Member of Parliament, or MP, is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district to a parliament; in the Westminster system, specifically to the lower house. ... Enfield North is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. ...
