In the classic Seinfeld episode "The Outing", George reveals that if he ever became a porn star his stage name would be "Buck Naked".
The expression "buck naked" commonly means "totally naked" (as opposed to partially naked). Synonyms include "bare naked" (as in the abovementioned "Barenaked Ladies"), "butt naked" (also spelled, facetiously, "butt nekkid"), and, according to Peter Baynham (co-writer of I'm Alan Partridge), "Billy Bollocks".
The album includes Christmas and Hanukkah songs as well as "Auld Lang Syne", which is traditionally sung on New Year's Eve.
The album was the first album recorded at Steven Page's studio, Fresh Baked Woods and was the first released independently by BNL's Desperation Records label (and distributed by the Warner Music Group).
The album was a popular release during the Christmas season of 2004, and reached #64 in the regular Billboard album charts.
