Mission

Buckeye Leadership Society strives to help individuals create the lives they desire by helping them discover what they truly want to do, and giving them the support, motivation, and tools to achieve their goals. We offer a professional development series which prepares members for a successful future in and out of school. We hold many volunteer and social events that our members participate in.

Chapter Structure

The Society is affiliated with the SOURCE office which is part of the Ohio union. Buckeye Leadership Society is a chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi and is part of The National Society of Leadership and Success.

The chapter's daily duties are carried out by a group of members that serve on its advisory board. The advisory board works with chapter advisors in the SOURCE office to plan and carry out daily operations of the Society.

History of The National Society of Leadership and Success

The National Society of Leadership and Success, or Sigma Alpha Pi, was created by a nationwide effort of professional motivational speakers who wanted to truly impact student’s lives on a long-term continuous basis, rather than a one time motivational speech.

Due to expensive speaker fees, travel and materials, schools can’t often afford to bring multiple motivational presenters to campus. And even when schools can, they lack the continuity between presentation and follow-through to get students to take action on what they’ve learned. These speakers who formed The Society teamed together to create a plan that gives students continual motivation, support and leadership training in a way that is both more cost effective for schools and which impacts students lives in a more powerful and lasting way.

Through The Society, schools can now secure at a low cost: a year's worth of motivational speakers, success coaches, a nationwide network, chat times with the presenters, a library of success materials, mastermind alliance teams to hold students accountable for taking action, and a number of other benefits.

The Society has changed the face of motivational presentations. A student no longer needs to experience a one-hour presentation and then attempt to apply new concepts to their personal life on their own. The Society now gives young adults guidance and direction, showing them how to develop action plans and how to hold each other accountable to their goals so that they reach the success they desire.

With new benefits and programs being developed every day as part of the Society, we are helping students move in new and promising directions. We are very proud of our past and excited about our future opportunities to help young adults become confident individuals and leaders.
