The AskTog Bug House: Hall of Fame (2866 words)
Entomological etymology: Conventional wisdom holds that this moth was the genesis of the term, "bug." Evidence exists, however, that the term, "bug," was in common use among hardware developers at least as far back as Thomas Alva Edison and his researchers.
