the bull temple is situated in the N.R.Colony area of south bangalore.it is the biggest bull temple i.e it has the biggest idol of Bull in the world.the idol is carved out of stone.there is also a ganesha idol inside the bull temple and hence also known as Dodda ganeshana gudi.the bull is also a sacred hindu god and is known by the name of NANDI. nandi was also the close devotee and bodyguard of SHIVA. in many shiva temples and shiva lingas around india we find nandi idols as well. nandi is a demi god and has the head of a bull and the body of a man. this article was written by Jayanth.v,an engineering student from bangalore residing in rajivnagar,banashankari 3rd stage--Jayanthv 12:04, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

Bull Temple is situated on Bugle Hill at the southern end of Bull Temple Rd. This is one of Bangalore’s oldest temples.It was built by Kempegowda in the Dravidian style in the 16th century.
This temple is the abode of Lord Manjunatha.
Another unique feature of this temple is that the temple tank or the "Kalyani" is at a higher level than the temple itself which is not the case in any of the other temples where the tank is situated much below the temple height.
