Apparently a huge underground tunnel will be built to swing traffic from the freeway to underneath the Bund.
It is unclear if Zhongshan Yi Lu will become a pedestrian green area (is it too much to hope for?) or what will become of the traffic-clogged motorway that mars the beauty of Shanghais historic architecture and the Huang Pu River.
