Buona Vista is technically a neighbourhood and subdivision of the city-state of Singapore, but is often referenced as a town. The centre part of Buona Vista is also called Holland Village, which houses a food court, one of the largest newspaper stalls with a lot of international publication for sale, and several stores selling european groceries. Hence, it is a very popular place for both expatriates and tourists. The Buona Vista MRT Station (EW21/CC22) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station located in the town of Buona Vista in Singapore that is part of the East West MRT Line and the Circle MRT Line, and serves as an interchange between the two lines.
It is one of two stations on the Mass Rapid Transit with direct shuttle bus services to the National University of Singapore besides Clmenti MRT Station, with bus service number 95 operated by SBS Transit to and from Kent Ridge Bus Terminal.
By 2010, the university will be served directly by the National University Hospital MRT Station, a station on the Circle MRT Line and two stations south of Buona Vista MRT Station.
