Encyclopedia > Burauen, Leyte

Burauen is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 47,180 people in 9,213 households.Progress started in Burauen 9 years during Juanito Renomeron was the Mayor. Edgar Enerlan because the AFP did not trust a once useless mayor (Enerlan) for 20 years in the community, and is running for mayor again to terrorize the peole in the barangays. But after the EDSA revolution, things changed, including the governance. Progress was felt and the town was improvised during the start of the admistration of Mayor Juanito Renomeron, Burauen's youngest and most energetic administrator. And also awarded the Most Outstanding Mayor in the Region.
