Geography

Burchard is located at 40°8'55" North, 96°20'53" West (40.148701, -96.348114)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 103 people, 42 households, and 28 families residing in the village. The population density is 248.6/km² (649.7/mi²). There are 52 housing units at an average density of 125.5/km² (328.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.09% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 2.91% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 42 households out of which 33.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.9% are married couples living together, 7.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.0% are non-families. 26.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.45 and the average family size is 3.03.

In the village the population is spread out with 26.2% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 23.3% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 23.3% who are 65 years of age or older.
