Burgeo is a town and fishing village located on the south coast of Newfoundland on Cabot Strait, seventy-five miles from Port aux Basques, Newfoundland and Labrador. The Post Office was established in 1856 and the first Postmaster was Richard Bradshaw. The population was 900 in 1911 and 2,474 in 1976.
