The station is accessible from the surface via an entrance through a park at the corner of Burrard St. and Dunsmuir St., or underground via the Royal Centre shopping centre.


History

This subway tunnel, known as the "Dunsmuir Tunnel", was used by the Canadian Pacific Railway as a connector between its railyards on Burrard Inlet (Vancouver Harbour) and False Creek, but was then taken over by Translink in 1985 when Vancouver built its Skytrain system in conjunction with Expo 86.
