Grand Rabbi David Eichenstein, the Burshtiner Rebbe
Burshtin is a Hasidic dynasty lead by Grand Rabbi David Eichenstein, the Burshteiner Rebbe. The main Burshteiner synagogue is presently located in the Boro Park section of Brooklyn, NY. The sect originated in Burshtyn, presently located in the Ukraine, but once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Grand Rebbe is a scion of many great rabbinical dynasties, including Zidichov and Stretin. He has authored several books of Hassidic tales, and is known as a skilled orator. Recent activities
Several years ago a few of the most devoted followers of the Rebbe got together and decided it was time to expand. The new headquarters of Burshtin is now in its final stages of completion and is located at 12th Ave and 56th Street in Brooklyn, New York.
