The most prominent feature of the Burwood landscape is Building C (The Alfred Deakin Building) of Deakin University. Burwood East is a suburb of Melbourne, Australia, in the state of Victoria.
Notably, Burwood East is home to one of the few remaining 24-hour Coles Supermarkets, and quite possibly the only 24-hour Kmart department store in Victoria, both found at Burwood Plaza (sometimes known as "Kmart Plaza") at the intersection of Burwood Highway and Blackburn Road, at the terminus of the tram route 75.
Burwood East is also home to the Nunawading Basketball Centre on Burwood Highway, as well as the Global Television Studios, in which Rove Live and Neighbours are filmed.

The impact of traumatic events is daunting, both to the individual concerned and to their families, with Watson [2] reporting that the total lifetime cost of death and hospital-treated injury in Victoria, Australia for 2001 was estimated at $3.1 billion.
A qualitative interpretive approach was selected because it enables researchers to give priority to human experience and to determine how people interpret their experiences and give them meaning [19,20]; the main aims of this study.
