Bury Park is located one mile due east of Luton town centre on the road to Dunstable. For the greater part of the 20th century its residents belonged to many Christian denominations as can be seen by the variety of churches in the area. Since the mid 70s a Bangladeshi and Pakistani community has grown and Bury Park is now the home of one of the largest mosques in Britain. Bury Park has a large commercial area specialising in fruit, vegetatbles and clothing, mainly for the local community.
