The syllabus

This subject comprises Bookkeeping, Employment (Industrial relations/disputes), The Consumer (protecting the consumer and consumer rights), Insurance, Banking and many more business related topics. Ordinary Level covers the same course, but Higher level goes into more detail.

Junior Cert Syllabus Controversy

The Junior Cert Business Studies course combines all three aspects of the Leaving Cert course (apart from Economic History) although there have been complaints that the course is too heavy and that the syllabus should be separated like the Leaving Cert syllabus.
