Butter chicken or murgh makhani is an Indian dish popular in countries all over the world that have a tradition of Indian restaurants. While the dish's general recipe is well known, the actual flavour can vary from restaurant to restaurant even within Delhi. Butter chicken is usually served with naan ,roti parathas or cooked rice. Butter Chicken is a very popular, and very delicious dish, best served hot in winter time. Butter Chicken can be easily made at home by buying store bought spice mixes (Asian Home Gourmet, Continental) and Pastes (Pataks), these brands are known in Australia. The Chicken is traditionally marinated (in Indian Resturants) and cooked in a tandoori oven. This can be replaced with a modern day grill, which does the same thing if not better. Constantly glazing the chicken with the marinade adds to the flavour.
