The Buu Saga is the final major plot arc of the anime Dragon Ball Z (after the World Tournament Saga). In FUNimation's naming conventions for the English language release of the anime, the Buu Saga is broken up into four sub-sagas pertaining to the character known as Buu:



Babidi Saga - Introduction and release of Buu, by Babidi.


Majin Buu Saga -Fat Buu emerges, Vegeta suicides in a failed attempt to kill Buu.


Fusion Saga - Fat Buu fights Super Saiyan 3 Goku, kills Babidi, turns into Evil Buu, fights with Gotenks. Becomes Super Buu to fight Son Gohan and Vegetto.


Kid Buu Saga - Kid Buu destroys the Earth and goes head to head against Goku's Genki-Dama, then peace returns.

Kid Buu's first target is the Earth, which in a psychotic episode typical of him, he blows up the minute his transformation is complete.
He communicates to the entire planet via King Kai, trying to get the populace to give their energy to power the attack, but only their friends and family believe him, the rest thinking it was all a dream.
The Good Buu, despite a vliant effort during this time, is defeated by Kid Buu and it is left to Vegeta to hold Kid Buu off so that the Spirit Bomb can be completed.
