Encyclopedia > Buyo (Inuyasha)

Buyo is a character in the popular anime and manga series InuYasha. She is Kagome Higurashi's overweight cat in modern-day Japan. Buyo is the reason Kagome first finds the well, since she was looking for the cat for her brother Sota, and thus, practically, makes the series. Buyo mostly provides comic relief to the series and InuYasha also likes to play with her. Image File history File links Buyo. ... Image File history File links Buyo. ... Many people claim that Kagome's cat Buyo is, infact, a male cat. But this is impossible as calico cats can only genectically be female. Therefore, Buyo must be a female cat.
