The General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (中国民用航空总局, Pinyin: Zhōngguó Mínyòng Hángkōng Zǒngjú), most widely recognized by the initials CAAC, is an administrative body under the State Council of the People's Republic of China that oversees civil aviation in mainland China. The CAAC does not shares responsibility of managing mainland China's airspace with the Central Military Commission under the regulations in the Civil Aviation Law of the People's Republic of China (中华人民共和国民用航空法). The Central Arkansas Alumnae Chapter (CAAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered in 1996.
CAAC is a non-profit organization that is comprised of college-educated women committed to both the constructive development of its members and public service.
Since the inception of CAAC, the members have organized various projects and activities to support the mission and goals of the sorority.
The CAAC applied for and received approval for a $12,000 grant to cover the costs of installing two door openers; one to the East entry of the Science Building (double unit) and another to the South entry of the FAC (single unit).
The CAAC is mandated to "Review all campus renovation and new construction projects as they relate to accessibility." Continuing to build good communication lines between the Committee and College Architect is an ongoing goal of the CAAC.
The CAAC is pleased with the progress made by the college during the last year and for the support of the College administration and faculty.
