On Thursday, CANGRANDS hosted a demonstration demanding the McGuinty government guarantee the continuation of Temporary Care Assistance (TCA) for the at-risk grandkids they are raising.

Temporary Care Assistance (TCA) provides income assistance and benefits to adult caregivers on behalf of a child. In July 2008, the Ministry of Community and Social Services amended the definitions of the TCA program, making it nearly impossible for grandparents raising their grandchildren to access this much-needed financial support.
