CKLC is a Canadian radio station, which airs at 1380 AM in Kingston, Ontario. Owned by CTVglobemedia, the station airs an oldies format. CKLC began operations in 1953. The call letters are taken from Kingston's nickname, the "Limestone City". Mediumwave radio transmissions (sometimes called Medium frequency or MF) are those between the frequencies of 300 kHz and 3000 kHz. ... In April 2007, CKLC 1380 AM has applied to move from the AM band to the FM band at 98.9 MHz[1] and was given approval by the CRTC on August 28th, 2007. [2]
