Cabin Crew are an electronic music duo of Ben Garden and Rob Kittler from Australia. They are known for their song, "Star To Fall" (also known as "Star2Fall"), which is a remix of the 1988 hit song "Waiting For A Star To Fall" by Boy Meets Girl, and was involved in a "sample battle" with Sunset Strippers. Cabin Crew originally remixed the track, but SonyBMG would not clear the sample for release. Instead, they enlisted Sunset Strippers to remix the track to try and block the Cabin Crew version. But when Boy Meets Girl's vocalist George Merrill heard the track, he re-recorded the vocals, allowing the Cabin Crew release to go ahead. In Australia, the single releases were almost simultaneous. Although Cabin Crew's version debuted higher, Sunset Strippers hung around the chart longer. Electronic music is a term for music created using electronic devices. ... Cabincrew are given a roster four to eight weeks in advance.
You will join as junior cabincrew, and you can be promoted to more senior positions such as flight supervisor, cabin service manager or cabin service performance manager. Promotion is based on merit and subject to vacancies. Some posts require a minimum period of service, although previous flying experience may be taken into consideration.
Outside of operational cabincrew, there are other opportunities within cabin services or other departments and all vacancies are advertised internally.
This reiterated the Authority's position that the ANO requires that cabincrew are carried for the purpose of carrying out duties related to the ‘interests of the safety of passengers’ and should remain at their duty stations with their seatbelt fastened except for safety-related duties.
Cabincrew members are not paid when they are sick, even if they report to the office for office duties, or if they report for work and are subsequently sent home.
For example, operators must not insist that a crew member who knows or suspects that he/she is in any doubt of being able to accomplish his/her assigned duties, or is fatigued or unfit to the extent that a flight may be endangered must still operate on a flight.
