Cabinteely (Cabán tSíle in Irish, meaning "Sheila's Cabin") is a village in the suburbs of Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, in the administrative county of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown and the Dáil constituency of Dún Laoghaire. Once a rural village in County Dublin, it has, in the past 20-30 years become an outlying suburb of the greater Dublin area and is increasingly becoming built up with apartments. Getting there

By Car

Cabinteely can be accessed from the north by following the "Stillorgan Dual Carriage-Way", the N11, south. A sign indicates the turn off to the right.


From the south, follow the N11, turning left at the footbridge off the dual carriage-way.


By Bus

The newly created 145 route stops outside of the village. This route came into existence in October 2004 and runs at 20 minute intervals from Killmacanogue, via Bray to Mountjoy Square.


The 84 runs from Newcastle, Co. Wicklow to the City Centre. This is quite an infrequent route, with once an hour regularity.
