Military cadets are typically students at a military academy, students at a U.S.-style private military academy or members of a youth group associated with the military who are receiving preliminary training with the intention of joining the military, sometimes at a younger age than they would be able to do otherwise.
Cadets pursuing a nursing related degree may be enrolled in AFROTC and be commissioned in the USAF Nurse Corps.
Cadets may date other cadets, regardless of rank, so long as a professional attitude is maintained at the detachment and all corps related activities, formal or informal.
Cadets may be nominated for GMC or POC of the month, an award given to the two cadets who have contributed the most in the previous month.
