| This article contains information about a scheduled or anticipated future automobile. It may contain preliminary or speculative information, and may not reflect the final version of the vehicle. | The Cadillac BRX (or possibly CRX) is a compact luxury SUV, to get Cadillac and GM into the highly competitive compact luxury crossover market. The platform will be shared with the SAAB 9-4x and an upcoming Buick, which means it will be front wheel drive (SAAB is only FWD & AWD). Engines will almost certainly be GM's "high feature" 3.6 liter V-6's, which in cadillacs range from 255-302 hp, and in other GM vehicles are inbetween those ranges, which means it wil probably get 267 hp, and possibly 302, or a rumored turbo version of the engine which will have 340 hp. AWD will probably be standard, as is usual in its competitors. The main cars it will go against is the class-leading BMW X3, Acura RDX, and soon-to-be introduced Infiniti EX. The BRX/CRX will compliment the Cadillac SRX, cadillacs mid size suv, and will help cadillac gain its "Standard of the World" logo back from Germany. pricing will likely be low $30,000, but based on cadillac prices, it may start in the high $20,000's.
