Calabasas High School, which serves portions of Calabasas and the West Hills, Los Angeles, California section of Los Angeles, is one of three high schools in the Las Virgenes Unified School District (along with Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, California and Indian Hills also located in Calabasas, California), as well as the closest high school to the west of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Due to this, it is frequently in competition in every aspect with El Camino Real High School, located on the north side of the 101 on Valley Circle Boulevard, about a couple miles north of Calabasas High. Some of the competition is due both schools having students come from all parts of the San Fernando Valley. El Camino Real naturally has more Valley students, but Calabasas High has a very high and significant number as well. Calabasas High School is a four-year high school, freshman-senior, in Calabasas, California of the San Fernando Valley.
It is one of three high schools in the Las Virgenes Unified School District (along with Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, California and Indian Hills also located in Calabasas, California), as well as the closest high school to the west of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Despite Calabasas High being in Los Angeles County, it is in the Ventura County sports league.

The Las Virgenes Unified School District is a sprawling 80 sqare mile district stretching from Woodland Hills on the east to Ventura County Line in Westlake Village on the west.
Even though the school day has been shortened, in some cases, and class sizes have increased, teachers and staff members have continued to show their determination and enthusiasm by providing quality instruction.
Developed and run by school staff members, the program is an environmental education experience which focuses on ecology, the balance of nature, and understanding the interrelations of plants and animals.
