Caleb Stanley Ralph (born 9 September 1977 in Rotorua) is a New Zealand rugby union international. He has played as a winger for the national side (the All Blacks) and now plays centre for his provincial team, Canterbury, and Super 14 franchise, the Canterbury Crusaders, although he started his career as a winger. Ralph was first capped internationally in 1998. After an absence from the national team for several years he was recalled in 2002, and was a regular member of the All Blacks throughout the 2002 and 2003 seasons, playing a total of 13 tests and scoring eight tries, including a hat-trick against Italy in 2002, and was a member of the New Zealand team during the 2003 Rugby World Cup. He looks set to gain his 100th consecutive 'super rugby' Crusaders cap, a record achieved other greats of New Zealand rugby such as Colin Meads, Simon Mannix, Wayne 'Buck' Shelford, Bruce Reihana and Dave Loveridge. Many attribute Ralph's longevity to his highly physical style of game and the fact that he just is that good. Caleb once had a brief relationship with Zara Phillips. This spawned the nickname "Prince Caleb" due to her royal connections.
