Camden County, North Carolina, is nestled in northeastern North Carolina adjacent to the Hampton Roads, Virginia metropolitan area (Norfolk, Virginia Beach) and the beaches of North Carolina's Outer Banks (Nags Head, Hatteras, Corolla).
Camden County is a great place to live, work and play with miles of waterfront along the Pasquotank River, the North River, and the Albemarle Sound.
With large farms and wild swamps, Camden County offers a paradise for both the hunter and fisherman along with the birder and animal photographer.

In the county the population was spread out with 26.8% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 30.5% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 years of age or older.
The county is governed by a Board of Chosen Freeholders consisting of seven members elected at-large for staggered three-year terms by the residents of the county.
The Camden County Prosecutor is appointed by the Governor of New Jersey with the advice and consent of the New Jersey Senate (the upper house of the New Jersey Legislature).
