Cameron Cartio was born April 9th 1978 in Tehran, Iran. At the age of 7, together with his family he migrated to Spain and later to Sweden. In Sweden, at the age of 13, he began his artistic journey through music and hit his first notes on the keys of a piano. He joined a local Hip hop band and later moved on to become a studio musician, song writer and in 2003, a solo performing artist. Throughout the years, Cameron has drawn his inspiration from great artists of the 80’s and 90’s, mainly influenced by the French Jean Michel Jarre and the German Modern Talking. Cameron Cartio’s first single “Roma” from his upcoming album “Borderless”, which compete in the swedish pre-eurovision show of Melodifestivalen and reached to the "last chance" round where it came last, was sang in a completely non-existent and innovated language and later heard, auditioned and signed instantly by SONY/BMG in Sweden which has now led to 11 songs, two music video (more to be added later) and several performances worldwide. The song Roma was for 7 weeks on the Top10 chart for most selling record in Sweden. His second single Henna was written as a duet and later performed alongside the grand master and worldwide famous Khaled. The story of their collaboration is somewhat of a saga. Cameron was in love with a beautiful girl who he learned to be a great fan of Khaled and to give her a gift and proof his love to her; he set out to collaborate with Khaled and wrote a song with the same name as the girl herself, Henna. International communities such as middle-Easterners, Scandinavians, Greeks, Germans and French people are embracing this young performer’s music style and artistic image. Cameron Cartio continues to grow and develop as and artist for every day which passes and hopes to one day become an artist for and of the people. He loves to bring joy and happiness to the homes of his listeners and wishes to be the messenger of borderless music. More information on Cameron can be found on his official site.
