Camilla Rutherford (born 20 September1976) is an English actress and fashion model.
She went to Newcastle University. Her first roles were as the Jean Seberg character in the short film Je t'aime John Wayne and in Stardom (2000). In 2001 she was Isobel in Gosford Park and appeared in Picture Claire. In 2002 she was in Hideous Man, and in the Miss Lucifer video for Primal Scream. She was also on the cover of Tatler magazine.
In March 2004, Rutherford was in the play Three Women at the Riverside Studios in London. In July she was on the cover of the magazine launched by Annabel's nightclub, posing with Mark Birley's dogs. She was the face of Max Factor for Autumn 2004, and Links of London jewellers, and was also interviewed in The Observer. She is in the films Vanity Fair (2004) and The Freediver, which have yet to be released in the UK. She is married with a baby, and is often seen in the high society diary pages.
She was, she says, 'intimidated and bewildered' by the fashion industry, but she was also CamillaRutherford, and so when her height (5ft 5in, very short for a model) let her down, or her nerve wavered, her instinctive self-possession won through.
Rutherford worked through her school holidays for three years, and then packed it all in at 18 to begin a degree in pure maths at Newcastle University.
Camilla was modelling abroad when Malcolm Rutherford went into hospital for a relatively straightforward stomach operation.
