Camp Bonifas is the US Army post closest to the Korean Demilitarized Zone, or more accurately, closest to the Joint Security Area and Panmunjeom. Camp Bonifas is home to the United Nations Command Special Security Battalion, which pulls guard duty in the DMZ, and also in the JSA. The guards also conduct special tours of the JSA.
