The band fronted by Eibon Records headmaster Mauro Berchi have gathered a loyal fanbase with their previous two releases "Blue Fire" (now finally re-pressed sold-out) and "Walk Into My Open Womb", which the amazing work achieved with "Brand New Babylon" will certainly not disappoint.
Canaan was officially born in late 1995 as a 3-member band (me, Luca and Matteo).
We decided to record them with the option of keeping them for a subsequent release, yet they turned out much better than we expected and we then decided not to leave them out of the album as they fitted perfectly the atmosphere and the general concept of "Walk Into My Open Womb".

Although "New Canaan Church" is the name more commonly used in references to this church, and is the name given to the compilation of its records for the years 1733-1899 published by the Connecticut State Libary, the town name of "New Canaan" did not actually exist until 1801.
As he is recorded as a resident of Norwalk in 1741, it is possible his earliest deeds there may have been lost or never recorded.
All their land records and civil records would have continued to be recorded in these original towns until the end of the 18th century.
