Counterfeit Canada Goose Products In many parts of North America and Europe, Canada Goose jackets and parkas are considered expensive status symbols. As a result, many factories in East Asia, especially China and Thailand, produce counterfeit Canada Goose products. Especially in the fall and winter, the majority of Canada Goose parkas offered on ebay are probably counterfeit. One possible way to tell whether a Canada Goose parka is fake is to hold it under running tap water. If the water quickly soaks through the outer shell, then the parka is fake. The outer shell of a genuine Canada Goose parka is water repellent. This test is not infallible, however, as higher-qualities fakes may also be water repellent.
