The CCGA program is highly relevant and has been, as well as continues to be, highly focused on the prevention of loss of life and/or injury at sea, and when directly related thereto, minimizing damage to or loss of property.
The objective of the audits is to ensure that the expenditures incurred by the Auxiliary were in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contribution Agreements with the CCG and to ensure financial reporting by the CCGA was accurate.
The mission of the Auxiliary remains consistent with that of the CCG as they are both dedicated to ensuring the safety of the Canadian public, specifically in SAR operations, in which they participate as partners and in prevention and boating safety.
