Under the guidance of The CanadianCollegeAthleticAssociation (CCAA), two athletic conferences within Canada participate in hockey - the Alberta CollegesAthletic Conference and the OntarioCollegesAthleticAssociation.
Canadiancollege hockey is gaining a reputation as being and extremely competitive league by often competing against CIS teams and doing quite well.
Many CCAA players move on to both the CIS as well as the professional ranks.
The CCAA is the sole coordinating body for college sport in Canada, providing leadership, programs and services that foster student-athlete development through intercollegiate sport.
